Man up GM

How long is it going to take before GM mans up and builds a Camaro for the Nationwide Series?

That would be cool, just watching Nationwide at Charlotte. Mustang, Challenger, NO Camaro. Maybe in a year or so GM will allow it.

Don't really think it matters IF GM did because the car would still be an Impala with a Camaro style front bumper. It'd be more exciting if they went back to 2 doors in a shape that is somewhat actually close to the real car like it was in the 80's, 90's, and early last decade.

The heck with the Nationwide series, it's time to replace the Impala with the Camaro, in the Sprint Cup series. As great a car as the Impala is, it's time has come to move over.

Not until they allow the car bodies to run as produced. Just because the grill and tail lights look like a certain car it doesn't mean it is that car.

Nope, NHRA is where that body belongs! prostock and funny car, only a matter of time before the body gets approved and running down the track.

There is no STOCK in STOCK car racing anymore. Who cares if they put Camaro stickers on a generic body that's the same dimensions as the other manufacturers?

...Have you seen the Mustang and Challenger "stock cars?"

Do you really want to see the Camaro turned into that?

No thanks. Unless NASCAR tells the race teams to go to a Chevrolet dealership, buy a Camaro SS, and start modding it for use in a race, Camaro should never be in NASCAR.

IDK...while I hate the Mustang in Nationwide racing, it's cool as heck to see the Challenger!

I'd hate to see the Camaro in the series as the Mustang is presented, but as the Challenger is presented...cool as all get out!

Those cars look like boxes on wheels. I'd rather keep my awesome front end on the body of my awesome car.

NASCAR tried their best to get GM to run the Camaro in the Nationwide series, even going as far as saying they would do all of the design work if GM would just liscense the nameplate. But GM turned NASCAR down saying that they did not want to market the Camaro in that series. I'm wondering what GM is going to run when they end production of the current Impala, I have not heard anything about a next generation Impala. Who knows, maybe GM will start using the Camaro if/when they stop production of the Impala.

Amen to that!
GM is trying to keep the integrity of the car that Ford and Dodge have sold out on. I'd rather not see the Camaro in Nascar then see something that is totally not the awesome car the Camaro is.
