Washing My Camaro in Florida

Good Morning ev1 We are going to be spending the winter in Port Richey, Florida this year I will be taking all my accessories with me(including the electric leaf blower)! The house we are renting has well water! So I have 2 options when washing my Camaro...Option 1...wash the car with water right from the well...Option 2...wash the car AFTER the water has been thru the water softener!! Like I said, I will have my leaf blower, so after rinsing the car the water will NOT be on very long!!! Thank you for any help & suggestions....Denny

wash

As long as you dont leave the water to dry on it "well" water will do no harm. I use adams detailer when I wash and hit it with my blower and my Big Blue towel and never had a problem.

I always use a spray detailer (Meguiars Ultra Detailer) after every wash. No spots and it looks better than it did the day I drove it out of the showroom.

Been living in Florida with well water for twenty years. DO NOT WASH THE CAR WITH UNTREATED WATER! Wash it with water that has gone through the softener.

Trust me.

Wash in early morning/evening or in shaded area. In direct mid day sun you cannot dry it fast enough by hand and end up with water spots.....in which case you just get a small damp hand towel and this will remove the spots. Been using well water since '86 and all my cars have been black.

The leaf blower is definitely the best way to dry the car.

i don't have well water, but i always put in a water softener when i buy a house. soft water when set right won't leave spots. i use the maguires version of the "sham wow" to dry after.

Best advice is was the car in the early morning or just before the sun goes down antime between 9am-5pm the water & soap will dry up fast.

You can wash it either way you want but make sure you dry ASAP. Today it's 90!
