engine's finally 'broken in', blew through half a tank today.. :)

today was a lot of fun, and I burnt through half a tank of fuel in the process. finally got over the 1500 mile hump, haven't gotten to drive the car as much as I would have liked. finally got to beat on the car a little harder without feeling guilty, and got to share the fun with a few friends who shared my enthusiasm.

I have a new found respect for what the car is capable of, both in the straights and the twisties. I was really surprised the the car was agile enough to corner as quick as my buddies rx7.

this car is so unlike my 350z, I am amazed at how hard it can pull at any given moment / speed, where as the Z felt stagnate after third gear.

just a random thread to share my excitement. it's almost 2am and I literally feel like going for another drive. thank god there is another day in the weekend.

Entaille, is that Everett WA? If so I know you got some great cruising roads around there. We came over Stevens Pass and back across North Cascades Hwy over Labor Day weekend.
Congratulations on finally being able to drive your Camaro like you wanted to.

Why is that? Mechanical break-in or computer adjustments?

I did the samething on Saturday. No stops (just gas). I plug my Ipod up and took off. I think I jam everything from the Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Kool and the Gang, James Brown, Parliament, Hendrix, Stevie Ray. etc, etc, etc. Everything was right with the world.

I spend Sat morning at the dealer, 3100 miles on the Camaro, first oil change. Left there, excited to have a 'fresh' Camaro, to get stuck on a freeway that was shut down for 2 hours. That wasn't fun at all.

Looking forward to the drive into work in the morning tho with the air temp in the high 40's!
