Weekend road trip story
I have a 2011 RS/SS A6. This weekend the wife and I made a short run up the coast. We stopped at a gas station and I left the wife to fill the tank and I went inside to use the bathroom. There was a line so it took me a few minutes. When I walk out, my wife is talking to a guy next to his totally blacked out new Mustang (actually looked great, custom grill, ground effects,et. al.) and she's holding a piece of paper in her hand. I walk over and she says, " this is what I want our Camaro to sound like". The guy fires it up and it makes the ground shake. Admittedly a great sound but very very loud. Anyway he leaves and she hands me the piece of paper. The guy listed every Mustang feature and mod he'd made that impacts exhaust sound. I explained that I really didn't want to spend the money for a supercharger, totally new front to back exhaust system and a few other items and that it was a little loud for our neighborhood. While she sort of agreed I could tell she was still thinking about it. I suspect we'll opt for a catback system that is a little quieter but I sure got a kick out of her researching the guys Mustang.
Did I forget to tell you the wife will be 70 next May. What a babe |
