The first Camaro ever built

I would have thought GM would have it locked away or in a museum somewhere.
It would be cool to get it and restore it. Would take allot of $

I can't believe someone would take the 1st production camaro and cut it up like that. He must not have know how much it could have been worth if it was in original condition. Bummer.

Bummer.

Whoever buys it and fixes it up will never get their money back from. It'll never be numbers matching and original.

They've tried selling that car before. Not sure it's worth it in the shape it's in.

Boys and girls, let this lesson be heard, if you keep all the parts you take off the car to make a race car, don't throw them out. They might be worth something someday.

You KNOW for a fact that if the original purchaser actually knew what they bought when they bought it and what it might fetch today in pristine original shape, you'd know that car would have been pampered to death instead of beat to death. This proves that back in those days, "eh, it's just another car. They won't be worth nuthin..."

This is what I got when I clicked the "See the full History Report": We're unable to locate a history report for this vehicle. Check with the seller, jobin_sims, to see if the VIN is valid. Also, this seller has ZERO feedbacks and/or transactions. Hmmm... We're unable to locate a history report for this vehicle. Check with the seller, jobin_sims, to see if the VIN is valid.

History Reports don't exist for VINs that old. History reports are only available for cars from 1981-present.

lol. They did that in 1979. For most people, that was just another Camaro back then. No one had any thoughts about serial number or build date.

Personally, I think it's pretty cool in it's race car form. Gonna be hard to piece it back together but it's worth it. I wonder what it was originally? RS, SS, base Camaro?

Vin #123377N100001

1 = Chevrolet
2 = Camaro
3 = 6-cylinder engine
37 = coupe body
7 = 1967 model
N = Norwood, OH assembly plant
xxxxxx = vehicle serial number sequence

100001 = 1967
300001 = 1968
500001 = 1969

Here is a good site to decode Vin & body tags for early Camaros.

Looking at some auctions I bet it would be in the ballpark of 100k. It would need to be perfect.

Even in 1979, the average Joe would think, the very 1st Camaro ever, with a 00001 Vin. What the hell was some racer thinking... "Cletus! lets completely chop up this unique car and add a Ford rearend and a fiberglass front end!" WTF
