In Iraq buying a 2010 when I get home
So Im stuck in Iraq for a while and am going to pay my silverado off and trade it for a 2010 Camaro. Never have owned a Camaro before but am excited. All my buddies keep pressuring me to get the Challenger but I have my heart set on the camaro, so some reassurance would be appreciated there. Also I am torn between the 2 SS Packages. Is the $4000 difference worth it, I do like the leather interior and does the SS come with the interior neon light.
Thanks for any input and just a question will the SS Camaro beat the Challenger at the 1/4 mile (Stock of course) Thanks for answering my questions! -Aaron |

Only 2SS has the lighting and/or leather.

Like my buddy said if I am gonna do it do it right, all that extra stuff won't hender me any as far as weight goes will it? I am thinking about the Orange Color and not sure if its going to have the lighting etc. because I read somewhere the orange inferno would not...

In my opinion the additional options with the 2SS are well worth it. That's why it's what I have on order.
The Camaro SS should be able to beat any of the challenger models. It has 50 more hp than the R/T and as far as the SRT8 it weighs less than it and has the same power.

Just like 40 years ago
Some things never change---when guys came home from vietnam they went right out and bought fast cars---some guys bought them just before they left so they had something else to think about----
You get home in one piece and get in line for a 2SS--it will be worth the wait.. |

Keep your head down and in the game and get a 2SS when you get back!

My son is in Iraq and he has ordered a 2SS/RS. We are a GM family and I own a Corvette and am waiting for my dealer to pull my order for a CTS-V.
Buy the Camaro, it's hands down a far superior car. The Dodge is based on a 4 door sedan chassis and weighs much more than the Camaro having a huge impact on raw performance numbers (in favor of the Camaro) but also in general vehicle dynamics. Toss a Camaro into a corner and you'll quickly appreciate the lower weight and IRS. When I was in Viet Nam I lusted after a Corvette, when I got home the first thing I did was buy a brand new 1972 454 Corvette, so I can appreciate your desire. Thanks for serving, stay safe and buy the Camaro - you deserve the best. |

thanks everyone, you gave me something to smile about, I hoping to only finance a small portion of it so I can make some room for accessories...I can't wait, should I go ahead and put down a deposit for one?
