Talk about a ticking time bomb....Damn

That is just overkill, I give 200 miles to the engine blows up, I wondered how they modded the Tranny,....and every thing else to handle that power

Well it did say they stroked the engine, so hope they put forged internals in it or its going to go boom pretty soon. Hopefully they did somthing with the tranny and rear end, if not, its going boom as well.

Seems pretty gimmicky. Certainly the most inefficient way to make that power. When you want that much power, turbo is the way to go (excluding funny car blowers that can't even see a street car).

I agree. Rather see twin turbos peeking up from the hood, then belts...

See Chris Chown's Grand National for example...

Faster than the Veyron. . .

So what happens when one isn't satisfied even with the 425-ponies of the range-topping Dodge Challenger SRT8's HEMI V8? Well, one solution is to bring the car to the folks over at RDP Performance. The Ohio-based tuner will add a duo of superchargers along with a nitrous boosting system and a series of other modifications to the V8 engine for a total output of 1,000 HP. According to the company, the RDP Challenger SRT8 can hit the quarter mile in 9 seconds - a whole second faster than the Bugatti Veyron... Skip the jump to find out what a 1,000 HP Challenger sounds like.

I think it'll last 200 miles, or the first WOT pass down the 1320. I thought the cylinder walls and piston crowns were known to be somewhat a liability on HEMIs. I have a Hot Rod somewhere were some company was saying this and that the best way to get out of that was with resleeving and a new set of pistons. Anyways, the only thing I caught regarding the tranny was the 4000 stall. Regardless, I hope they address whatever liabilities there are before selling cars equipped like this to customers.

Veyron is for top end. I'm sure the dodge is tapped out long before the veyron comes close. Lol. Give me the veyron on the autobahn. Give me the challenger for the 1/4 only.

The Veyron is built and designed to go 253-or-whatever MPH (I forget how gast TG got it to go). 12-something radiators, tires that cost as much as my Z28 did new, blah blah blah. That car is not even in the same league as Veyron (then again - what car is at 1.7 million), LOL. I think that car would walk away from the Chally' in a 1320' too. Of course, you could probably buy 10 of those Chally's for 1 Veyron.

guys, I understand the Veyron is a far Superior car. . just quoting the article. . .

On a personal note. . I still think the black chally looks bad ass. . not as much as the Camaro though.

Why are we comparing this to the Veyron? It is not the fastest production car in the world.

http://www.shelbysupercars.com/ultimate-aero.php

Either way you go though you are in a very very fast car, i would take either one over the dodge, even if it is faster

Positive displacement all the time? No bypass? Not sure I'd like producing boost at idle.

Also, it was built in 7 days, of course it's gonna go boom. Something like this is for attention at a show, nothing more. Contact that shop and say "I want one" and even if they build it I'm sure they'll tell you it's not meant to really be driven. Crap will also get sucked into those pulleys coming outta the hood as well. Just not clean IMO. I'm all for power, but it has to be somewhat practical, at least drivable.
