i want some pacesetter longtubed headers and my exhaust is 3 in. im pretty sure so could i just get the flowmaster mufflers or tips or what and it still sound pretty good also what would the horsepower gain be if i had some pacesetter longtubes and flowmaster muffler for my 2000 SLP SS would that work out and would it sound like back the hell off lol??

You will need a custom tune to run long tube headers either way.

If your starting your mods on a limited budget then start with a Cold air Intake system, then move to a tune then Headers.

Or you can do one of our Street packages in one shot, it is the best bang for the buck in the industry and super high quality parts and service.

Ted.

i already got a cold air intake and if i was going to get a tune i was just going to get a programmer and get cams and tune it myself

SLP exhaust to Flowmaster is kind of a step down, dontcha think? The headers should make your SLP mufflers speak up pretty nice...

Texas Speed and Performance has mail order PCM tunes ~$250.

If you already have a catback, then you'll want longtube headers matched up with a proper y-pipe. I'd recommend LS1tech overall and even the sponsors there are usually available right off the bat during the day and will give you advice via pm.
