This is the exact reason I am never going to test drive the V8. It is a beast. I'm sure more than a few that could not afford it went in to the dealer, test drove a V8 just for the fun of it, and ended up leaving in it (or ordering one). I know I'd be one of those dudes.

problem is i already have my LS and i'm paying 440 a month and if i get that now with no down payment. its 640 a months. THat's what the dealer show me. i'm like DAMMMN, but i'll be deploying (Go USAF) so i'll bring back 10K to put down payment and trade in on that. While my LS is in storage. Oh and that SS/RS is black, its have 7500miles on it. Everything stock go for $33,990. Kinda bump out that its probably going to be sold before I come back T_T.

Yep I did the same thing, got Bob the Salesman to take me out in the SS and let me have at it. I liked the SS clutch too, and yes, you march right outta the hole real quick like. I do love the feel of a big block Chevy, have since I was a teenager, cut my car chick teeth on a 71 'vette LS 7. I love the flatten you against the seat feeling, buuuut for the extra 8 grand I didn't happen to have kickin around, and for the commute factor, and insurance and fuel and... the RS is all I need. It's still a kick in the pants to drive, and I can catch a scratch in 2nd if I hit it, so it's no slouch outta the gate! I still loved my RS when I got done driving the SS!
(if I win the lottery I am damn sure hooking back up with Bob and ordering a SS vert)

that's exactly why i've intentionally not driven a C6 vette. i was all set to get a C4 a few years ago & then test drove a C5 & HOLY CRAP, what a difference! i couldn't go back. that said, in the future, try to not drive something that's the next level above what you're happy with - you'll end up feeling like this

now, when you get back (and thank you so much for serving! ) have at that Super Sport, so long as it won't create a big financial burden. they're a super blast!

If you work it, you can "catch a scratch" in 3rd too

Try and see what AAFES car sales can do for you while you are deployed. Good luck and God speed. Go Air Force...HOOAH!

Nah, with trade in and 10K down i'll be paying exactly the same as my LS . So there should be no problem. besides my tax return should be in when i get back to. OH DAMN!

Although I'm very happy with m V6 RS, I have to admit that the SS has always been tempting. I'll consider an SS again when the 2012's come out. In the meantime, I will enjoy the heck out what I have.

is 2012 suppose to be better?, if so i would rather save that money for it. Now if the horse power is the same then i'm going to buy that ss anyway.
