I am considering putting lambo doors on the car and want to know how these things hold up to the stress? And are they something I could install myself or do you need some kind of specialty tools to insure correct alignment?

What kind of issues could I face?

I'm just waiting for my 7 year old to swing the passenger door into the foundation of my house and was thinking this could save it from happening. I know some love them and some hate them but I like them and was looking at Vertical Doors Inc since they swing open when you don't want attention or up when you do. Plus it would add a little more flare and uniqueness as I see more and more Camaros every day.

I saw that thread and skimmed through it but it seemed to be nothing but opinions on how people felt about them.

I want to know if these things are reliable and if they last or will there be problems 4000 miles down the road

as for reliability, I think it just depends on the kit and the installer....just my opinion....

send a pm to "atkins performance" he should be able to answer more of the questions being that he sells and installs them. Maybe he can give you better feedback about reliability.

Vertical doors are something i would want to do to avoid collisions with the doors. and i think i have seen some videos of them but i haven't heard anything about their reliability.

We have been contemplating carrying the Lambo doors from Vertical Doors. I looked at several of their installs on Camaros at the SEMA Show this week. I have to say the hardware and the door shocks they use look top notch. I have use other companies before like LSD Doors and had problems and the hardware was cheap. The Vertical Doors have a 1/4 inch steel plate that bolts in the factory bolt holes.They get my approval.

I'm planning on doing the same after the 1st of the year. I think they look really cool on the Transformer Edition cars, to give them that robotic look.

Lambo doors are for Lambo's mmmmkay. dont do it...

i did them myself using the Vertical doors inc kit. they did a great job, its 100% bolt-on, takes quite some time during the install so you must be carful, it requires you to remove the front bumper, front fenders, and the side rocker panels to get access to the hinges. it is a time consuming project. But if any one has any questions feel free to ask. they are not for everyone but they are my favorite mod, i always draw the most attention in car shows and out and about.
