Thumbs up Trick Flow CNC Cylinder Heads Coming Soon

Got a chance to talk with the Trick Flow guys at The SEMA Show this week and view their newly Casted Cylinder Head for both the L92 and LS3 Engines. These New Cylinder heads from Trick Flow will come with increased CNC Intake and Exhaust ports(Exhaust port slightly shifted internally to allow for better exhaust flow) to increase airflow and power. They will also come with the LS7 pedestals allowing for the stock LS7 Rocker Arm with a 1.8 Ratio to be mounted. Trick Flow also stated that there will be some testing on the 2010 Camaro here in the near future. They will be putting these heads through several test to ensure a quality product. There is also plans to work with Magnuson on the bottom intake plates of their TVS2300 Superchargers to work in conjunction with these new cylinder heads. Trick Flow is shooting somewhere in the neighborhood of $2400 for the full set of these Cylinder Heads (LS7 Rocker Arms Not Included).

We will keep this thread updated here in the weeks to follow.

Advertised flow numbers weren't too impressive out of the box. Hope to see a good ported set hit the bench soon.

This is awesome news because we really needed a thick decked head for FI. Stock heads are great but are prone to lift at anything above 12psi. The thing that im confused about is the talk of making a manifold on the maggie to work with these heads. Why would it not work anyway? We need these heads to work with any of the many PD blowers out there. Also if a new maggie intake manifold needs to be made that makes me think that even the stock manifold wont work?? We need more info on this.

I would like to see them come with smaller ports/smaller valves.I'm not really about the high flow # crap since it's been proven wrong so many times on the LS motor.360cfm could support 800rwhp if built right) I would like to see velocity in the main lift area's.I have a feeling this could really help low rpm hp/tq which these heavy cars need.

The Intake port is 255cc's and the intake valve is 2.1 for the TFS heads vs the stock heads are 260cc's and the intake valve 2.165 so the ports and valves are slightly smaller which should make for some nice velocity and great power in the low/ mid range as well as peak. The flow numbers are also better than any aftermarket ported stocker that I have seen and that is at every lift point.
