18's on SS
How do you make 18's look good on an SS. Im looking at the TSW Nurburings and they weigh 19lbs for front and 21 lbs for the rear. This would shave 44lbs of weight off of the car and would just cost $1200 for the wheels. I would like to keep a 3 1/2 inch side wall on the tire so how would this look? Do i need to lower the car to make it look right in the fender wells? Any info would be great. I have seen some sema pics of an SS with 18's and it look great. Also the tires didnt have a huge side wall.

Well im doing it for weight and track reasons. with an 18 i can get a drag radial with a taller side wall for the rear. In my first post i just didnt want tires on the front with a huge side wall. Stock wheels weigh 32 lbs and any forged 20 i have found weighs 30lbs so im not going to spent 4k on wheels just to save 2 lbs a wheel

Lots of guys are running 18'' wheels for racing, but the Nurburgrings do come in 20'' size and weigh 24 lbs. But for racing, the 18s would be lighter and offer more tire options. The majority of the race cars I've seen are running 18'' wheels with wide tires. |

Those 20's on your car look really good. And for 24lbs and $350 a wheel that is awesome. But i was thinking like you said with an 18 i would have more opitons for tires and they are 21lbs at $300 a wheel. Does anyone have 18 nurburings on there car or have a pic of one?
