Where to put my retractable license plate?
I just got my retractable plate holder for the front plate ( bah VA plate laws ) and I am leaning towards putting it on the side but first I wanted opinions and/or pictures of cars that have it on the front center VS. the side.
Thanks |

I'd go center. I think the car is all symmetrical so why mess with that. I have my plate on the front and I don't really think it looks all that bad. Sure I'd love to not have it there but if I don't, I get tickets... so whatever.
I vote center. |

retractable as in hideaway plates? If so I think those gotta go off to the side, center of the bumper cover is too pointy.

![]() The plate does not retract enough so it would stick out if you put it in the center. Mine is off to the driver's side and my coworker put hers off to the passenger side. I installed both of them. When you start lining everything up you will see what we mean. SSN8R |

Thanks alot for the input , I like the look of it on the side and as SSN8R said it will stick out when retracted if put in center.

It is more distracting off to one side than if you just put the factory bracket on. Once I gave up and put the front plate on my Z06, it seemed silly to worry about the front plate on the Camaro.

I personally like it installed on the passenger side. Here's a picture of mine retracted.
