Any updates on the new SRT8 Jeeps? I nearly bougth one last year, but the dealers wanted close to 50k for it while the NEW much improved Jeeps were sitting on the lot next to them...the NEW Jeep SRT8 is supposed to be way better also...wonder if we will see them next year?

Are you sure about that one? You're saying that sometime last year 2009 you were looking at a new SRT-8 that was close to $50k and the brand new body style 2011 Grand Cherokee that just debuted back in June was parked right next to it?

The 5.7 Jeeps are starting at 40k. I just bought one for my wife and looked through every model. The overland edition with the options she wanted put her at $47k, thats top of the line other than srt8. So me being me looked into the srt and after all the options and wheels and fees came out to be in the $60K mark....no thanks...nice to dream tho

I looked at a used one for about 2 seconds. Then I realized that they wanted $3000 more then what my father gave for a brand new Trailblazer SS for an SRT8 with 20K miles. I mentioned that to the dealer. His responce was that the SRT8 had more horse power. I asked how much it had. He said 426hp. I replied the Trailblazer has 396 for the extra money, I the SRT8 costs I can modify an SS to be alot more then 426. I went to the Chevy dealer and bought my Camaro SS that same day, for $8000 less then what they were asking for the used Jeep.

Don't get me wrong. I think they are awesome trucks and look great. I just think they are way over-priced.

Actually the GC SRT8 has a lot more upgrades than the TB SS, lowered suspension with a tuned AWD system (plled like .89g on the skidpad I believe and AWD was optional on the TB SS ), brembo brakes, SRT seats, leather, etc, was standard and the start around 42k for a 10 now I believe and top out around 48k. I doubt the new SRT8 will be much more, if any, for starters than the overland. For all the performance stuff you are adding, you are removing offroad equipment from the Overland (terrain assist, air suspension, sid plates, etc).
