TT kit installation
How difficult would the installation on granatelli kit be for someone inbetween novice and intermediate with mechanics. I worked alot on small motors, and did alot of auto body but never dug much into the motor. This kit seems pretty straight up though and looks pretty easy. I wont have a lift just jack stands.

I'm doing that same kit ,well its actually built bt Turbo Technology. I started on it today about 9am and quit about 4pm its about half done. The kit fits perfectly, I would say the hard thing is getting apart the 02 sensors clip and the intake and injectors. Its just time consuming and you just have to be patient, watching how the intake comes off and goes back on. I think just about any mechanically inclined person could install this kit.

I will be finding out here shortly. It seams to be a pretty straight forward bolt-on.

If you have enough to buy the kit then pay also for the piece of mind of having it professionally installed and tuned. There is no reason to tie up 16 hours of your own time and then what if you break something you can't fix?

I have done that in the past but I don't like not knowing how to fix issues later. I you install it yourself then you know ever component installed so you can troubleshoot things later if need be. I don't want to be stranded on the road somewhere and not be able to get a hold of the manufacturer.

Depends on how much it is to have it installed and tuned. If it takes 6 to 8 hours to install that could run another 2 to 3K.

I noticed you are in Illinois. I can suggest, from experence the workmanship and detail of work the guys at FLP are capable of. Give them a call and talk to Tony at their Naperville shop.
You may want to reconsider the install. They done my Nickey Camaro. |

Thanks man appreciate it, if I hit any big hitches I might just call them up. I cant forsee this being real difficult, its pretty well bolt on...remove wheels, front bumber, run the tubing, mount the intercooler, turbos to manifolds....my only thing im not sure about is the fuel rails.

If the TT kits come with the directions like Magnacharger come with it should be pretty easy to install.
