US Top Gear

Just like the name they give the session of congress after an election.

US Top Gear is a Lame Duck

3rd rate host actors who can't even get work in B spoof movies anymore, pretending to try and out run a copter while they drive like Miss Daisy.

The Euro version was 1000times better, just show it.

Euro Top Gear was a success here, they just wouldn't show it cept on paid channels. Was on regualr TV for a month then they wanted paid to see it.

I just don't get why they feel the need to waste money remaking everything.

Rather snobish at times.

Though why its on at 10pm at night, they know its crap.

a lot of the most successful shows are on that late, so that's pretty much a failed argument.

the cars on USA top gear will be cars that Americans can relate to more I'm sure. I think people are judging it too harshly since the British top gear set the bar pretty high.

In 08 NBC killed off the first US Top Gear, while running with the [failed] Knight Rider series.

I wish Knight Rider was still on. I thought it was a great show. I still need to catch the US top gear, I think it will be good. Any show about cars is good imo.

Set up a lawn chair on the side of the highway, and that would be more entertaining.

I am a huge fan of the British version and I liked the US Top Gear. Yes it was a little wird and awkward, as any first episodes are before a real relationship and banter is formed between the hosts. Its their first day doing it, unlike the British guys who have many years together. Ferrara saying "oh ****" every time the Lambo shifted was hilarious.

BTW Tanner Foust is NOT an actor, and he was definitely not driving like Miss Daisy, did you actually watch the show or know who he is? He can drive the balls off anything. Adam Ferrara is one of the main characters on one of the top rated Cable TV dramas (Rescue Me). Rutledge Wood is a racing analyst for speed channel, not a 3rd rate actor either.

NBC's Top Gear was killed off by the failure of KR and the economy tanking, the show never aired.

I enjoyed it, no not as good as the euro top gear, but as said, they haven't had a chance to get their footing yet. I think it has lots of potential, I just hope they don't get the ax before they can reach it.

US Top Gear has potential, but they'll have to axe all three existing hosts and find their own angle (ie: stop ripping of British Top Gear) before they'll have a chance at finding success.

I agree, it has potential. Saying Tanner Foust is some driving Miss Daisy type driver is hilarious- I just don't think you watched the show. Tanner is a better driver than any host on the UK Top Gear- period.

Their dialogue was clumsy, the stunt was good though. Top Gear UK took a while to get their dialogue polished so let's hope for the same here.

They will work on it. The format was there, just not the polished flow we are all used to with the Brits. Replacing Clarkson's dry wit and humor is Damned near impossible though. Sorry.

And the comment on the Suzuki's "17,000 worth of acceptableness" was a great line.

Love the cars

But The host's are soo F************ Dull

You'd think Hollywood could have come up with a more original show

But I guess they needed to rip the British off (Sad) Huge statement there

But , I do like the cars on the show
