Intermittent audio bluetooth - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Had my car about 2 weeks now. The phone bluetooth works fine, but every time I pair to the gmconnect, it drops the connection after about 5 or so minutes. Tried several different phones, Storm, Pearl, and a droid. It plays fine, then just swaps to CD. Any ideas on the problem? User error, etc?

Also, it does not autoconnect like the phone does, which isn't a terribly big deal, being it only works 5 minutes to start with... lol.

So I guess what I need to know is, should i take it to the dealership about this?

Are you plugging it into the usb port to keep it charged? If you are, then that is what is causing the 5 minute drop off, and then about every 20 after that. Try plugging the phone charger into the cigarette lighter, or not charging it while playing it. I had the same problem, and this was the solution.

I've had it happen with the extra phone on the USB, and my droid that i carry, though it does seem to last longer when not plugged in, but still cuts off within 10 minutes or so.
