Be sure to get them to take pics of the install.
I am right on the edge of doing this mod, but don't have the guts to start tearing into the dash quite yet.
hope it turns out really good.

it took em 5 hours. i've got a 1ss so i didn't lose anything. i had to get a pioneer gps navigation adapter and xm receiver. there are other adapters you need if you have bluetooth or 2 ss stuff.
i didn't have em put in the license plate camera cause it took so long on the install of the pioneer stuff. i'm takin it back next week to get the steering wheel audio controls and the rear camera installed. gotta say, a 7" screen is really easy on these old eyes.
oh, it plays videos too for you young whipper-snappers.

here's what i got:

Double din bracket Bracket $199 with nav system from crutchfield
Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD Navigation Package $375 crutchfield
Pioneer xm satellite receiver $99

Hopefully you had your steering wheel controls programmed a the dealership before they took the stock radio out. Not sure if it can be done after the fact. I installed my switches myself and had the dealer program it before changine out the radio.

Agree, but it can be done after the fact you just need to buy a unit for 99 dollars to do so.

No kidding, just not health..LOL

From Metra

the kit does not allow you to change the vehicle customization settings. You can buy an Axxess Display, which plugs into the kit and allows you to view the current status and make changes. You can find it on eBay among other places.

hey steve,
was the cable already in the wheel or did ya have to run the cables yourself?
the tech wasn't sure if it would already be wired for the install.

Not sure what you mean. When you install the buttons inside the wheel, you have to buy the corresponding harness for them. Once you get that part done, the rest is already there all the way to the radio.
