So if I buy a used set of 3:45`s from an M6 guy will they whine?
Was curious. Would like a tiny bit more gear but if I have to go new i may go w/ 3:70`s. I know the ring in pinion develop a wear pattern, but if they come as a set out of another car will they be quiet or once they are removed are all bets off?

Why remove the gears. Find someone with a M6 that is changing gears and swap the whole center section from car to car. No whine! And, it's cheaper.

I don't know. on my 350z auto I swapped pumpkins (gears/ diffs unit) with a manual owner (3.3->3.5) and his gears in my car sounded like a god damn airplane if you were going over 50mph and didn't have any gas pedal down.
kinda reluctant to try that again. but it's the cheapest way to upgrade if you know an m6 owner that wants your gears.

I swapped my stock pumpkin, 3.27's, for a Jannetty built 4.10 w/ posi mod pumpkin, out of an M6 car and it's been flawless. No whine no nothing what so ever. Go for it Mike!!
