Vermont front plate

So I just got my sticker for registration renewal from my dad. I noticed that they only sent one and the paperwork says to put the sticker only on the back plate.

Anyone else think that this could be an early sign of Vermont looking to get rid of the front plate? Not that it truly matters to me since I live in Texas right now and they wouldn't care if I had a front plate on my car or not as it is still registered to Vermont and always will be as long as I am still able to do so.

No. It's like this in MA too. The registration sticker goes on the back plate, nothing on the front.

Vermont has gone from 2 stickers front and back, to just 1 on back now.

I do run a front plate on my 95, but my next car won't have one. It will be registered to Vermont, but it will be quite a few years before the car likely enters Vermont.

And I realize Vermont still requires a front plate, my inquiry was if anyone else thought that this "may" lead to getting rid of the front plate.

Ct has gone from a registration sticker on the rear plate, to putting it on the lower left inner windshield and now to NO sticker at all. I just removed mine from my SS windshield.
The state considers the stickers unnecessary as they can run the info from the patrol car's computer anytime they want to. I'm sure their also trying to save money.
Also, The front/two plate law is rarely enforced here in Ct.
