Best sounding CAI

I am looking to add a CAI but I am worried about it sounding like a ricer. What's the best sounding CAI? I like the current stock sound, but I just want a little more throat/noise, if that makes sense. I was thinking Injen, but I wanted to get some opinions from other V6ers who have modded before I do.

Please don't post on here about performance differences, there are many threads about the performance gains of the different intakes, and I am in the process of reading them all, but currently I need opinions on sound.

Thanks guys

P.S. Only V6 Owners respond please. Thanks!

Well I just installed my Roto-Fab and when I opened her up this morning for the first time... She has a really really nice deep throaty sound now at the uppper RPMs... way lower than before. Def. can feel a diff in the power too. I give it

Thanks but you have an SS, I am running a 6. I'm sure the sound will be different between the 6 and 8

The Injen short ram intake livened up the sound, especially in-cabin. It gives the engine sound a more throaty tone than stock and the sound gets louder (but still throaty) as the rpm's increase.

I like my K&N...I installed it a couple of weeks ago, and she's got a nice throaty growl on acceleration, but at idle, she purrs nicely! Seem to be getting a bit better gas mileage as well...

K&N has a good sound, but I don't think there's gonna be a huge difference in sound regardless of which one you get, with the exception of the Injen long tube and the CAI Inc closed box. Other than that, they are all basically the same- a tube with a filter.

Injen has a whistle sound that some claim to sound like a turbo or SC. I have heard mine whistle. As for a deeper sound hard to say when it is in combination with my MRT exhaust. I have sound bytes posted in a couple areas that you can hear this combo work together.

The Long tube makes a pretty cool sounding whistle when you accelerate. I definitely dig it.

No, doesn't sound anything like an import to me. The sound is a lot deeper and throatier....

NO.........I don't hear mine whistle very often. I am usually accelerating hard enough I hear the MRT exhaust.
