Pfadt solid subframe mounts - who's got them installed?

These just arrived at my house a few days ago and i can't wait to get them on! I'm curious if anyone on here has them and would care to review them. Any noise or added vibration? I've seen pfadt's videos and read their posts already.

Also bought: trailing arms, sways, and diff bushings.

My car has 550rwhp.

You are not alone Adam! There are many Camaro5 members running the Pfadt subframe bushings, I know because they also bought them from Apex. You will feel more but it isn't harsh in any way. If anything it is just a more connected feel. Do a quick search and there are plenty of threads to read through.

I'm looking into these as well. If anyone has them, I'd really like to hear your impression. I have heard they increase noise and the harshness of the ride. I want to know if the trade off in better handling is worth it to those of you who have them.

Hm, where did you hear this from? I can say with 100% honesty that I have never had a customer complain about adding any negative NVH.

I think it is important to point out that when we did testing on these products, we determined they should be solid for a reason. The reason why is that during the development process, we investigated multiple materials, including the ever so popular choice of hard plastics. What we found is using plastics only had disadvantages. Certainly performance disadvantages, weight disadvantages, and no NVH advantages. I should point out, that using plastics is much cheaper (which subjectively can be considered an advantage). You get what you pay for. If someone is on a budget, then perhaps the solid subframe mounts we manufacture are not in the cards for them.

Mounting a subframe solid to a chassis does not need to be a concern for performance enthusiasts. All of the suspension arms which soak up the majority of vertical deflections are still isolated in rubber.

GM has been mounting the Corvette subframes solid to the chassis for over a decade. There is no reason to think you Camaro doesn't deserve the same sort of performance advantage.

I found another thread where someone said that solid subframe mounts in a previous generation Camaro increased cabin noise and made the ride rougher. I didn't mean to misrepresent what they said. I just want to make sure of what the trade offs are for any mod before I jump in. Thank you for clarifying.

No worries at all! I wasn't trying to "call you out" at all, I just wanted to find out if there was someone who was unhappy about them because as I already mentioned, I have never heard of someone disliking them.

Let us know if you have any more questions!

Here are some quotes from other threads about the Pfadt subframe mounts.

You can trust anything Aaron tells you as he is very honest and will give a honest opinion and Pfadt products are top notch. I also have Spohn, BMR and Pedders suspension equipment so I can share the love. Be aware though, the installation is not for the faint of heart but a little sweat and patience it went fairly smooth.
