GM cold air intake
I'm considering changing to a cold air intake. Has anyone used the Gm unit or know how good they are. I know it will keep my warranty in tact.

It's only voided IF the aftermarket part is the reason of the problem you get (if you get one) so you should be 100% fine with any intake (if you were doing this only cause the fear of a voided warranty) If not..gl! |

Thanks for all the help as the dealer preaches warranty issues possible.

I have never seen an aftermarket intake cause a warranty issue but I will have the GM onbes once they are available which I am told should be soon!

Go for it
There are plenty of good cold air intakes out there, don't let warranty dictate which one you get... besides, I doubt any dealer other than possibly the one selling you the intake and installing it would honor any warranty work relating to induction (with the amount of dealership mark-up on parts and labor rates, you would be able to replace any sensors or related parts that could fail) |

Not anymore than the rest of the CAI on the market from what I understand. The one on the GMPP site list it for $315.00 but then again who knows. LOL

I've waited MONTHS for GM to release their intake. Was even stated by a GM higher up that it would be October. NOTHING. They didn't even keep us informed of the progress.
I said screw it and bought the Vararam and have not looked back. This intake is KICKASS. GM's will probably be the ol' L shaped design anyway. If you want that design there are plenty of good ones out there now. |
