Turtle Ice clay bar kit... AMAZING- on wheels and trim!

I just recently purchased a set of 20" Midnight Silver wheels and they had a lot of cleaning to be done. I started off spraying them with some black magic wheel cleaner, let it sit, wipe it down, then continued clean them with a 4 step self power wash. Despite all my efforts I STILL couldn't get some really nasty grime and brown markings off.

I went to my local auto store and asked what I should do but none of them knew what to recommend because I had clear coated rims.

I looked around the store for a bit and stumbled into a Turtle Ice clay kit on clearance for $6. It caught my attention because it was a two part claying system. The first step you use a 3 part solution of "liquid clay" to prep the car for the second step which is the actual claying.

I use turtle ice clear polish on my stripes and love it so I figured for $6 it was worth a shot..

and boy do I have to say! It was AMAZING! it got every single marking off of my wheels with very little effort! I just applied a little liquid clay to a shop towel and wiped it across the markings and they all disappeared.

I continued to clay and then wax my wheels- they look flawless !

I was also able to use it to get left off white residue from previous polish/wax on the black trim. This liquid clay blew my mind!

Thankyou Turtle Ice!

That's the first good review of the "liquid clay" I have ever seen. The clay bar itself removes the contaminates, and I believe the liquid clay is some sort of cleaner/polish.

Don't depend on the ICE liquid polish/wax to protect very long, it never lasted more than 4-6wks for me. You'll get better protection from megs nxt 2.0. If you can wait till they release their 2011 line the ultimate liquid wax is supposed to be pretty good for over the counter protection.

I haven't tried their clay kit on my paint, I usually use Mothers for that. I was just looking to clean off my wheels and trim and the liquid clay did the trick!

But I do actually use Nxt 2.0 for my all over wax.

I just use the Ice wax for the stripes because it gives them a nice shine and doesn't leave white residue. Not really looking for much protection on the vinyl LOL..if they ever get messed up I'll be more than happy to actually paint some stripes on That would make it a lot easier for the polishing and waxing process..

I highly recommend a clay bar treatment for your paint.. You'll be amazed how much smoother your paint is after getting all the bonded contaminates off the paint. I wouldn't recommend the liquid clay on your paint though.
