header bolts

what are you using for header bolts. I know back in the day when I had just the old black jack headers I could never keep them in (tight).

Every build I have seen here in DFW area use the factory bolts and factory gaskets.

I used Stage 8 on my last header install and after many years I never had one come loose.

Used factory bolts and gasket also but I'm like the OP... I sort of feel like I might need to check the torque too,,, like with my aluminum coated Blackjacks back in the day...

I'm guessing they stay tight these days...

Dumb question but should I use Locktight on the header bolts or just torquing it is good?

Red Loctite is absolutely the best insurance and peace of mind.

At a min, check em after about 2/3 weeks. Always a nice PM measure to look at em when gassing up and checkin oil.

Best of luck all
