low clearance garage lift

Does anyone have experience with the Max Jack lift? I have a low ceiling garage and want a lift to work on my car...feel bad about constantly using a friend's lift.... I havn't figured out how to copy you tube videos on to the forum threads yet but here are the links to the Max Jack lift videos.

$2200 aint a bad price for a lift but how often would you REALLY use it? I know I wouldn't use it $2200's worth but I do have access to several lifts anytime I want. Don't know about the quality though.

Looks nice, but like previous post $2200 is not bad, I payed a few hundred for race ramps and did full exhaust and headers. Plus if you have a racedeck floor I cant see how you would bolt the uprights without having to cut a hole in the racedeck.

Yeah...I'm not really that concerned with the price...I figure it will pay for itself by the time I do 3 or 4 things that I'd have to pay someone to do because I don't have a lift. I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with the quality or reliability of the product.

When I look at that setup I worry that the base for the sides is so small even being bolted down. If you put a heavy car up there and do not set the the lift bars just right I would be afraid of being under that car. They even warn you about death. I made my own race ramps for $50. Although I would love a well designed lift.

There is a test video of 10,000lbs and total failure of the product, so just be careful and do your research.

I think it took 15,000 lbs for the lift to fail. That is like 4 Camaros. But I still worry about front to back stability with that small footprint side floor panel. They even mentioned instability in the test.
