DIY: How to Remove and Install Center 4 Gauge Pack
Hey all!!!
Got my DSV Customs leather 4 gauge pack and center console lid in a couple days ago. HOLY CRAP! I can not even begin to tell you how incredibly high quality these parts are. Flat out AWESOME. I am VERY impressed. Yes, I liked how the previous 4 gauge pack looked. But, by adding this, it almost looks like this is the way it should have been from the factory. After running into one SNAFU when putting these things together, I figured I'd make a quick video showing a "how to" on what to do. My SNAFU was the power plug and in trying to get it out. It wasn't the screw that had to be taken out. I already read how to do that on another install (thanks Winston!). But, there are two fasteners on either side that hold it in place. Don't break them...just squeeze them together with some channel locks and slide it out. When you put it in the new leather 4 gauge pack, it's going to be a VERY tight fit. You are going to have to really work it. But, here ya go. It's not super detailed...not edited...just a quick how to and shows the important parts pointing out where the focus points are. Hope it helps someone. After that, I installed the center console. That required unsnapping both of the rear sides of the center console. There are two phillips head screws on either side holding in the back part. Take both of them out and the back will pop off. Use a flat head and start on one side first of the hinge prying it apart. I started on the left and moved over to the right. Be careful not to snap or break the very outer edge of the hinge. No pix on how to do that one right now, but completed pix are here. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks excellent! It really flows with the rest of the interior. Kind of like the 4LT option on the Corvettes. Maybe this will be one of the upgrades on the new Z28 interior?

AWESOME RIDE! Yeah, i ran into that problem with the lighter too lol. But after reviewing it a lot, i figured out how to get it out lol. Also, are those stock seats? Or did you put some kind of cover on them? =o
The interior looks amazing right now!

But, I'm going to add the center console next. I think I need to make a phone call or two! I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!!! ![]() This is something that I'd LOVE to see on a Z28. I just can't wait to see what they have planned for us. |

Thanks for the DIY on the 4 pack.
Glad you like them. FYI - the flash in the photos make the leather look different but in person it is match for those that do not see the car in person. Can not wait to see the rest of your car done with our items. |

Jon,
I can't thank you enough. I know it took me forever trying to make up my mind...the phone calls...the emails...but the end result? Man, it's a NO BRAINER!!! The look, the quality, the feel, the smell... Just wow... For those that don't know, thearm rest is actually padded. It gives the entire arm rest a different feel now. I mean, it is actually comfortable putting my elbow and arm down. It's 'smushy'....hehehe lmk on the pm. I'd love to start that console as soon as possible. |

![]() I haven't ordered the center console yet. I should....but I'm dreading the fact that I'm going to have to pay $400 to get my "new scratch" fixed. and I still need a grand for suspension stuff. ...and $400 for that spoiler.... .........and ............lol |
