Prospective buyer OTD Prices???

Hello everyone, first time posting.

The wife and I are looking into getting a new Camaro and we have driven the SS. I don't like the blind spots but she really likes the looks of the car. What I do need to know is what people here in Cali paid Out The Door for a 2011 2SS/RS Camaro? The MSRP on the one we were looking at was about 38,500...they were going to take about $1000 off the price.

Personally I think they could do a lot better but what has everyone been paying?

Thanks in advance!

Rob

Welcome to Rob

To answer your question... Back in Sept, I was able to use the USAA ($750) discount added to the credit union discount (preferred pricing) and was around $2k under MSRP for an order. What colors/options are you looking for? Napa has a red SS and it's been there for probably 5 months.

About the blind spots.... With the mirrors adjusted right it's really not that bad.

edit: just looked it up and mine (I mean HERS) was $39928 otd for 2SS/RS manual trans, sunroof, factory Hurst from Chase in Stockton (Tracy Herrin)

Welcome. Every dealer I have been to has tons of Camaros on the lots, get as close to invoice as you can. Many of us bought when they were in short supply and high demand so we had to pay a premium. I split the msrp and invoice for my LS3 2SSRS and paid around 35,5. Good luck and keep us updated. You get used to the blind spots and short windows.

One more thing, make sure you contact one of the members of this site who do sales and shipping to your door. You can get a good deal while working with a dealer who supports this site. There are at least two women who can help you on the forum.

I bought mine from outside of Cali, the only headache was DMV. Eventhough the car came with 50 state emmission cert. I had to still do a smog test. Otherwise buying out of state may be a good idea because most dealers have snow on their lots and buying is down during the winter months. There are some good dealers here on the forums too. Good luck

The dealer here in Vacaville said he can locate the candy red color 2SS with the RS package, the premium stereo, and was saying he would drop the price a grand...what are the invoice prices for the 2011's? I could always ask them to see it I guess..but it is better to get there knowing what the prices should be. I was also going to have them put on the polished rims.

I thought you had to have 7500 miles on a car to register it in California?

Using https://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/ip-vpp/ which will get you lower than invoice on a SS

model 2011 Camaro
type 2dr Cpe
style 2SS
Exterior color Red Jewel Tintcoat
Secondary Exterior color
Interior color Black, Leather-appointed front seats
base msrp* $34,295
colors & options $3,280

You can also use the chat window on Chevrolet.com and give them what you're looking for and they can search the entire west coast

I didn't think about the smog, I know about the $7,500 thing and believe that's just if you want to avoid paying sales tax otherwise we would all drive up north to save several thousand. The invoice can also be seen on yahoo autos. The spread between invoice and MSRP is low and somewhere around $1,000.

Becky Rodgers. That's all you need to know.

I had a dealer closer to me offer the same price otherwise I would have gone with Becky for sure.

I got my 2ss/RS 6spd msrp 35.2k, out the door with T,TL, and L, it was closer to 38k of course. Got to love California.

But Yes Beck will ship it to your door step if you want and she is downright a pleasure to talk to and a beacon of hope for customer service on the planet earth.

Got mine 2SSRS with polished wheels for $36K and I had them throw in the trunk mat. Tax is what really kills you here in California.
