Personally I vote for the Vararam.

i have a pretty much brand new (installed, started, removed. never driven) vararam thats been sitting in the box in my garage for months
1 problem - lost 1 or 2 of the screws (cant remember) that hold the MAF
but im sure you could replace them at minimal cost
230 + shipping if you want in. i believe there is a new one out so i guess its the older one
might help your decision?

You should look at sending that one back and getting the new one. Even if you don't plan on putting it on you'll be able to sell it easier.

If you can get your hands on the new one I might be intrested.

I can't speak on the performance of the New Era, but I just installed a VR and love it.
The throttle response (no more hesitation when hitting the gas) made this well worth the purchase. Also, some folks have stated that they could not hear an engine difference with the intake, but I sure do. Definitely a deeper, thicker sound when getting on it. And this is currently my only performance mod.

i have the same three parts on my SS like u , i was thinking before about changing my CAI to NEA ERA or VR , but i didn't see any reason to change it , mybe if i get some dyno reading shows the deffirent in hp between my K&N and NE or VR mybe i'll go to change , but antel now i'm happy with my K&N..

if u looking for sound ? , the VR has no noies like K&N..

i will probably be putting a vararam on my car.

If you guys are going to be attending the nyspeed vs pittspeed track rental, if it still happens, lol, we can do some real testing there...
