Canada has 1/10 the popuation of USA. Any Canucks place their order for a new convertible?

I did on Nov 18 the first day available to order, at Budds Chev in Oakville ON
They only had 1 allocation but I put my deposit down in August to make sure I got one. 2SS/RS IOM inside and out, auto, 20" polished aluminum rims.

I saw a guy from Ottawa ordered one too?

Went to the dealer today to check where my order stands (only in Canada you cant check your order online?)

Great news order is at 3400 TPW is 01/24/11

Beverly says probably 3-4 weeks to get it on the lot!

She also said they have ordered 3 more verts? I dont know if all are customer orders. If you are in Ontario and think you might want to get a convertible check with Beverly Cobb Email: bcobb@buddschev.com

Checked with our dealer here and he hasn"t heard a thing??? He did say they get to see it at their dealedr show next month but no alocations ??............:-)

I called Oshawa twice and both times Beverly on over at GM said, my 2011 CGM/IO/Stick Vert is on schedule to be built the week of Jan3-Feb4. Delivery to be anywheres from 7 to 10 business days thereafter. December 7th, 2010, I got first allocation from dealer here in Montreal. So I get the first VERT delivery some time in the last week of February or March 2011. Just hope and pray for GOOD DRY weather EH!!! I have not been too fortunate to get my code status form the dealer. Maybe I'll try next week, say Monday or Tuesday. I really feel we should be like our American cousins and have this info readily available. I like the idea of having a full and complete paper work for us diehard Chevy Camaro gearheads.

Make sure they do not throw out the build sheets that come in the carpet bag in the trunk.

I pulled all the labels and stickers off myself and then I washed it in the detail bay using my own bucket and towels.

Order 2LT Inferno orange interior package with the Cyber gray metallic on the 17 Jan. Was given a tracking #, but was later told that I won't be able to use it because the tracking # is only valid to the U.S. customers.

Anyone know if the convertible is current being shipped out to the dealers yet? Some picture of the convertible at the GM plant would be sooo cool..

Welcome to the forum Dave. Congrats on the new vert. Nice colour combo.

I think production just started in Oshawa, so I imagine they will start trickling in soon. Where did you buy?

Not sure if you're aware of all the activities you can be involved in when you become part of the Camaro family so if you have a little time check the threads in the Canada section of the forum. We try to have fun around here.

The dealer can track it.... through WORKBENCH.

The day mine was parked at the plant I was able to call a 1 800 # and monitor it right across Canada as it moved West.
