Many of you know me as Phil's C5 Vette and know Ive been tuning Gen5 Camaros, Corvettes, and F-bodies from other forums. My tuning started as a hobby over eight years ago tuning my C5 with 450 RWHP with a baby 228 cam, and grew as a crazy passion giving away tunes just because it was fun. Ive attended the Basic and Advanced tuning schools, and I get invited back frequently which provides me the oppertunity to get updated tuning information and experience for your vehicles. i'll vouch for phil too.
first i got the tranny tune cause the vfm shifting was driving me nuts in traffic. then phil talked me into the power tune too. spent a 1/2 a day with phil doin 140+ runs over the gandy bridge for fine tuning. now i've got the monster camaro that should have come from the factory in the first place.

Its just a couple simple items when you compare the two computers side by side.
For the engine: 1) the max idle on a 2010 is set at 1100 RPMs. On a 2011, its 1350RPMs. 2) The maping in the 2010 for desired throttle area is differant than the 2011. 3) The closed loop proportional airflow modes are differant 4) The oil Aerations settings are differant 5) CAT light off is differant 6) Knock Retard attack disable times are differant 7) Knock sensors tip in are differant 8) Knock sensor multipliers are differant For the transmission: 1) Several partal shifts are differant 2) Several full throttle speed shifts are differant 3) Tap up and downs at RPM shifts are differant 4) Shift pattern A on 2010 is normal. On 2011 its set at performance 5) Power down shifts are differant 6) Min down shifts times are very differant 7) Shift time adders are differant 8) Down shift normal are differant 9) Finial shift normal and special are differant 10) A couple tables on the desired output factor are slightly differant in normal and special. 11) Base shift pressures, oncoming volume and presets are differant 12) TCC pressure 13) TCC desired slip 14) TCC apply and release speeds are differant 15) Full throttle apply and release are differant 16) A couple shift adders are slightly differant I doubt you'll feel the differant between both cars stock. Many of those tables get changed anyway during the tuning. Just a couple simple computer upgrades between years. Some were higher levels on a 2011 and some were lower. I hope that helps. Phil |
