My check engine light just came on after 4500 miles.

I have an AirAid air intake kit. I noticed that the clamp had loosened on the coupler that connects to the throttle body and the hose was pulled out of the throttle body. I reconnected, and have driven it about 10 miles, but the light has not gone out. I assume this is the reason the light came on.

Any thoughts on whether the check engine light will soon go out, or is this something that I need to have the dealer reset? Anything else to be concerned about?

If that was your problem then the light should go away after a little while. Though if you have a scanner I would check with that just to be safe.

Thanks for the quick response. I just went out to put a few miles on it and the light went out before I got to the end of the driveway.
