Question Challenger R/T to Camaro SS need advice!

Well as the title says, I need some feedback on the positives and what to look for in the Camaro's. I purchased the RT about 3 weeks ago, and think I made the wrong choice.

I have always been a big fan of the Camaro, and in the past owned at 99 SS, and a 90 I-Roc. I dont know why I jumped on the Challenger with all the love I had for the Camaro SS.

Here is the direct link to the Challenger I own now

Camaro I like to buy

I guess I am looking for things to make sure the car has before the purchase. Like the stuff thats too expensive down the road if you dont get it as an options.

Somethings I am interested in, and or read about are the following.

- ********
- PDIM updates
- Parada X (All seasons)
- No NAV yet

1. Is there anything you DONT like that the car has/doesnt have(Not including NAV)?
2. I read that the Camaro SS = Challenger RT, and not the SRT8....Feedback?

Thanks everyone your help in this matter is GREATLY appreciated!

I just went from charger rt to camaro 2ss over the weekend. I had the nav on the charger but ever since I got my droid incredible I greatly prefer the google nav. So, I just use a car mount for the droid and that way the nav doesn't lower the volume on my radio every time there is a turn and it is connected to the internet so I don't need to know the address of where I'm going. I just say the business name and it will find it for me.
Camaro ss is not = to RT dodges but much more like the SRT8 in terms of performance. This car is a lot faster than my RT dodge was. The hugest difference is the driver position/experience. The dodge had better visibility for me and was like sitting in a cruiser type car. This camaro feels much more like a sports car. I'm lower (I have actually rubbed on the driveway once because my driveway has an incline and that NEVER would have happened with my charger), more bolstered into the seat and my head has actually hit the roof inside the car. So, for me main differences are tremendous increase in performance over the RT and much different feel, much more like a true sports car in my opinion. hope this helps.

The camaro ss = challenger srt 8. The SS is claimed 426hp and srt-8 is 425hp. Both cars are very nice. But price wise 2SS= RT

The Camaro is compared with the R/T because of price even though in performance it's not really close. The SRT is alot closer performance wise, but it's ~$10k more.

You have a beautiful car. I love my 2ss. The reasons why?

1. SS power plant is incrediable.
2. Cockpit feels like a fighter jet.
3. Handeling is out of this world at stock, and the guys who have upgraded suspension parts say its even better.

The ******** set up your reading about is awesome. They make a great set up that feels factory for the Camaro.

The Nav your talking about..........well I use my onstar turn by turn directions and I love it compared to the built in Nav I had in my Ram 3500.

Unless your upside down on money then I say go for the switch. But in the end it is your decision.

Lets get this straight: SS>SRT8 and R/T= SS with a flat tire (maybe)

If you really want to get rid of the Challenger act quick. A lot new cars have a trial period where you can return the car but time is not on your side. Check it out.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I really do like my Challenger, but its not a Camaro. The tips and info are greatly appreciated.

Right now I have a deal on a 2010 Camaro (New), and still get the 1500 bonus cash. Yes, I am a little upside down, but not much. Around 1500 or so.

Decisions....decisions...

Be smart. Enjoy your Challenger and after a few years you can switch. By then all three will have improved the cars and you can choose the one that best suit you then.

The Challenger is very cool. If you trade now you will take a bath financially and wind up with just about the same car. Not knocking the SS but just saying.
