Camaro (3.6) VS Chrysler 300C Hemi (5.7)

Who do you think would win?

My boss' daily driver is an '04 Chrysler 300c Hemi 5.7 RWD.
He also has a multitude of classic muscle cars, a few of which include a 69 Camaro RS/SS, a 72 Camaro with a built 350, and most recent addition of a 65 Corvette 327.

Anyways, enough about the other cars... He thinks his HEMI might be able to take my Camaro. With snow on the ground, it's not time for the track yet, but I'd like to get your opinions. Looking up his car I show it should have 340hp, and 390ft/lb torque.
Car & Driver says it'll run a 13.9, and Motor Trend says a 14.2.

I'd like to get some opinions, both stock cars, and in the spring I'll print the time slips and we'll see the truth!!

He wins. Your looking at about mid to high 14's stock I believe. His torque is just too much for you.

This is best case scenario from Edmunds for my car:

304 Hp, 273 Ft/Lbs Tq
Test Results:
0 - 30 (sec): 2.4
0 - 45 (sec): 4.0
0 - 60 (sec): 6.0
0 - 75 (sec): 8.8
1/4 Mile (sec @ mph): 14.2 @ 98.9
0-60 with 1-ft Rollout (sec): 5.7

I figure with some decent drag radials I should be able to hit this.

His car also weights in at 4066, where mine weights in at 3780.

As a v6 owner of course I'm rooting for you!!

But if I had a guess...I'd probably say the 300C....BUT then again you could pull it out. He shouldn't blow ya away thats forsure (considering you don't blow the launch or something lol)

This isn't a race, I've driven the V6 2010 Camaro (had it as a rental) and my brother owns an 06 Charger R/T, on paper they even appear to be much closer than they are in reality. The R/T or 5.7 300C are no slouches, they are deceptively quick and, if both cars are stock, there is little chance of the 300C losing this one. The 300C will also respond much better to mods than the V6 Camaro.

Btw, there is a way to turn off the traction control, I don't know what you mean by 'completely' but my brother is able to turn it off using a specific sequence. His car is very fun to drive, I'm not sure how he would stack up against my car- he has I/E and a predator tune.

a charger r/t will beat ur 350z. to the op u would have to have a perfect run and he would have to screw up for u to win in the 1/4 unless u mod ur car and he stay stock than it will be different lol

+1 on both cars. In a straight line the Chrysler would win.

Not important but they didnt make an 04 300c....there was a gap and the new 5.7 style started in 05...no big deal

However....I just sold my 2005 Chrysler 300c 5.7 hemi to get a camaro.

The chysler definately moves very well, my best at the track was 13.1 with catback, intake and tuner. The car is very heavy but i still loved it. He will most likely smoke your camaro imo

I had a 2006 Charger R/t with a 5.7 it and the 300 are pretty much the same. I flat smoked my V6 camaro with it. Had my buddy in my Camaro and me in my R/T. Those cars are alot faster then people give them credit for.
