GM chrome air intake or Heritage grill ??

I've had my 2LT for about 2 months now after special ordering it. My main two dealer upgrades were painted stripes and the GM exhaust upgrade. A 3rd uninstalled option was the GM less restrictive (chrome) air intake.

GM has not released this air intake for the Camaro. Seems it failed their engineering test and somewhat questionable if they'll reengineer it. I'll probably wait till the end of the model year to decide if I'll take my money back. It would be nice to have this as a rare option on 2011 model when going to a car show 10 years from now.

My other thought process is take this money and have a painted heritage grill put on for about the same money. I'm not going for power, just a distinct, factory look down the road.

Opinions ??????????????

I'd say go for the Hgrille.

IMO it looks so much better. and you can always wait on the CAI... but I'm guessing you are right... at this point I'll be surprised if we see it from GM...

+2 Heritage Grille - there are so many CAI options now better than the GMPP Airbox even if it was available

It's under the Camaro site if you go to "see more accessaries"

Also just google "camaro heritage grill"

There's a picture of the grille in the Wiki, although there are some good examples elsewhere on Camaro5, too. You can get it from many of our vendors or any Chevrolet dealer. It is a genuine GM part. It costs almost $350 retail, but our vendors charge less than that.

Heritage grille, because the intake may never be released and there are many under hood covers that keep the stock look and are shiny or painted.

Heritage Grille IMO is not aggressive enough. I would not put this on my car.
