Philly Auto Show !!!!

This was the second auto show that I have been to so I felt compelled to write/ talk about it, because my friends hate gm cars. So anyway got there at 7 am, when they were letting in all the Camaro fans!!!! Inside the HUGE room where a ton of cars from many manufactures, like Toyota, Honda Volvo etc. So I got to sit in the LS7,2LT, 2SS Camaro, AND A PRODUCTION Aqua blue 1LT. I was completely happy to sit in all of them. the most interesting thing was I saw a "firehawk" but I will get into that later. after looking at multiple Gm cars I decide to take a look around and what other auto companies so have to offer. Specially the Camaro main competition. The mustang, challenger, 370z
First I will get into the Mustang. on a side note there were more mustang enthusiasts than Camaro enthusiast. BUT they looked like bums, one guy even had a mullet. (while the Gm crew looked very distinguished) the new mustang is very nice with Photoshop it's not that nice or maybe it was not a real car. the Camaro has this car beat hands down, as far as the interior it looks better only because its has the aluminum trim, the center console looks antiquated. also the black plastic around the bottom of the car looks terrible Thank You mustang but your services are no longer needed!!!!

The Mighty Challenger I really don't have much to say about this car other than its Fing!!!! HUGE! somehow this car makes 18' tires look like 20's despite the reputation that dodge builds cheap cars the challenger looks solid except on the interior(center console, steering wheel )
Yet again a useless competitor!

370z probably the biggest competitor there is nothing bad about this car it looks good has great performance. it has all of the Camaro strength with none of its weakness I hate to say but this car appears to be "Best in class"
Hopefully something bad happens to you (Nissan)
Finally an Honest Camaro review!!! (1LT)
The Paint looks amazing the car feels and looks solid. This is and will be a Great car. But the only problem that I think will keep some buyers from buying it is the Boe tie on the front of the Camaro and the center console and dash. First let me say I am not bad mouthing this car at all. with that out the way this car is great. It's really big on the inside I'm 5'7 sand the person that was sitting behind me was about 5'4 and she had plenty of leg room. Once you get in its like a fourth gen it feels like you're sitting in a bathtub and the wind shield is small, not like it s problem just looks funny. the center console looks out of place and the dash is very boring. Not that I care about those things, but as lately people have been going nuts over interiors. I don't know where this gay ass fetish came from. But after looking at Vdub and Toyota I really don't see what people are talking about. there interiors are just as bland.
GM needs to change its Image with the public if wants to start to sell these cars. they got the idea right now they just to convince the public that they have changed. SO im calling ON YOU THE US government TO GIVE TAX BREAKS TO people who BUY AMERICAN in 2009
ALSO KILL THE COBALT bring over the cruiz please!!!

Thanks for these, lot of good stuff, whats wrong with the Mustang headlights they look "different" ,and not in a good way. also whats the story with the Firehawk is this a SLP offering?

yes. They will produce 250 Firehawks this MY. It has 500HP.

wow I'm kinda thinking aqua blue maybe it for me, tho I think the interior needs more color.. still have to wait to see the colors in person tho. I just hate these salty winter roads other wise black would be no question. I think im the only person I know or heard of so far that likes the new tang's look.. although i will say still looks like a plastic toy.. great pics thanks for posting

yes we were aloud too. . . when the show officially opened the only car that was aloud to sit in was the Blue one. . . reasons. . it is a completed car. . the others were pre-pro.

I like the redesign as my bro has an 05, i think it looks nice, and the GT500 just looks killer with that Baby Blue, but they screwed up bad, they didnt refresh the engines and are planning to do so the next year, thats just stupid, i would hold off if i was looking at this car, but that doesnt matter as i will have my 300hp v6!!!!!!

Halo is the light ring around the HID lights. . . new mustang comes with HID lights. not "halos".

I know the Camaro is supposed to be the Transformer but the interior in the Z makes me think it's the one that's going to turn into a giant robot.

I was around when one of those Mustang Enthusiasts got into the blue Camaro. He was wearing a jacket with all kinds of Mustang stuff all over it. My dad laughed when I turned to him and said that the guy was going to burst into flames if he sat in the Camaro. LOL

The guy looked pi$$ed after getting out of the Camaro. Probably realized just how much better the Camaro really is. lol

I don't believe I said it anywhere else, so I'll just add it here. Thanks to Scott and GM for setting this up for us. It was my 3rd year going and I've enjoyed it every year. I tend to stay to myself, talking only to my dad who comes with me, so I didn't really meet anyone. Most memorable person was the 6'4" guy that got in the passengers side back seat with his girlfriend in the front seat while I was in the drivers seat. I would NOT want to be in that back seat. lol I'm just too quiet and shy (among other personal reasons) to just start talking to people I don't know.

EDIT: Almost forgot to mention how disappointed I was in the Mustang. In the original pics released I thought it looked pretty good, far better than the current model. But in person it wasn't all that great.

OP which Camaro are you comparing the 370z to? V6 or V8 cause I really hope not the SS.

yeah the mustang looks cheap the headlights look really bad this car looks much better in pictures....
