325's with no spacers or fender work

Thats right, I fit a 325 M&H Racemaster DR 325/45/17 with no spacer or special fender work. That is a 28 inch tall tire that has a section width of 12.5 inches according to the website. The Racemasters are wrapped around Bogart bolted D10's. I know the 315 has been tried and known to work but I wanted to really fit the largest tire I could without having to seriously modify my frame or fenders. I had heard rumors of a 325 fitting before but could never track the source or see photos to confirm. It was always a friend of a friend or I know a guy kinda story. So to squash all doubts here are some quick shots.

I am still able to fit my hand between the tire and inner fenderwell. So far I have not encountered any rubbing issue or problems but I have only drivin the car 6" with them on due to the weather.

Is your car lowered at all? It looks like you still have the stock springs in the rear. I have Nitto Invo 315s in the rear and it seems like you have a little more inside clearance with the 325's here but they stick outside the fender a bit more and may contact on the outside if the suspension compresses enough.

It is the standard Bogart deminsions. I didnt ask for anything specific. They are 17 by either 10 1/4 or 10 1/2 inches. As far as the backset, I think it is in the 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 range. I could be wrong though.

Right now I have the stock suspension, and this scenario is one that I have thought about. However to compress far enough to rub would have to be some serious weight transfer. There is a lowered camaro in town that I am going to try and bolt these up to and see if any rubbing occurs.

Now that is why I am after, that looks good man! I have a lot of questions for you. You have the same tire as I do and you have it lowered. How much lower did you go in the rear? 1". 1 1/4" 1 1/2". I guess the rumors where true as you have had them for what seems to be a while now. My next questions are about traction. Those are great 60' times, did you use springs or coil overs. I have heard that doing just the springs can actually hurt the launch and traction because it prevents the car from loading properly. Not matter what ya got is there anything you would recommend?

Thanks in advance.

i went with springs & sway bars . it was 1" ft 1" 1/4 rear at install , but thy settled more over time . from the floor to the top of the wheel well now measures ft. 28" rear 29" . as far as traction go's , 654 rwhp & 16-19 psi in the rear tires , 3200 stall i have no issue at all . little to no spining off the line . the car transfers great . if you have a ls3 m6 thats a whole nother beast , maybe some ls3 guys can chime in with more info.

hope this helps .

That's awesome, thanks for the input. I would love to see more shots of that thing if you don't mind sharing. It sounds like the ride height is perfect. I am a M6 ls3, but it sounds as if I can get away with using springs and sways until the budget allows for full adjustable coil overs. Do you mind saying which company you went with as it seems you have had great results. And if the tires are holding for your 650+ hp, they should hold for me just fine.

Thanks again.
