Here is a couple of pics of before I installed the Doug Thorley Catback and after. My stock exhaust had a muffler delete on it as you can see it has no mufflers. The Doug Thorley Catback is not as Loud as the muffler delete was but it has a deeper tone to it. The muffler delete was more raspier an less deep low tone. I do like my new Doug Thorley Catback as it now has mufflers and can pass inspection and as a plus has a performance kick to it.

Installation took an hour with just me and my buddy. It was quite simple.

Do you get the buzzing sound when the AFM kicks in? Seems that XPipe might help it. Also, I've been thinking of doing just a muffler delete on my L99, how was the buzzing when the AFM kicked in, with that setup as well?

You can hear the AfM a lot with a muffler delete and to tell you the truth it sounds like shit. At first I didn't notice it but as time went by I kept hearing it and it was quite annoying. On the DT Catback the cars drone Is a whole lot quieter and I love it! You can't go wrong with this system for L99!

Okay! I just had my Muffler delete done today and it does sound really good, especially since it was only $80. I figure I'll give this a try for a little while and see if I have problems with the AFM sounds. Like you, I didn't notice the kick down with the AFM on but I've only driven it for about 10 mins and most of it wasn't just cruising :P

Either way, I get to test the delete and still be able to hit up the DT cat back as a back up plan (it's been on my radar as well), as you did. Thanks for the thread as this is what I'm looking for.

Pretty sure it's 2.5

Intalling mine tomorrow. Will put up some pics and let you know how it is with AFM. Next mod will be the VMAX CNC throttle body.

UPDATE: Got mine on, took about an hour. Much better sound. You can hear the AFM more with this setup, but not annoying. Exhaust tips look great. Next CNC Throttle body.

Compared to stock, yeah I can hear the AFM but it's not bad at all. Compared to straight pipe, it's a lot more quieter. Straight pipe started to annoy me hah.

My wife wasnt too happy with this set up and my friends kinda knocked me for not sounding too loud and almost stock. To me the stock has a higher pitch and the DT Catback has a lower pitch sound. My wife wants it louder than stock so I'm about to order a new set of mufflers and replace these to get a louder sound. Will post video once I get them and installed.
