Question Looking to buy a full detail kit.. Best ones?

As the title says. I am looking to buy a nice full detail kit. I currently have nothing but 2 buckets, 3 mitts one for top, bottom & wheels. A half gallon of magwuires (not sure if spelled correctly)car wash/wax and a hose. That's it. I have not detailed my own cars in probably 15yrs but i'd like to now. My car is 6 weeks old and has been washed multiple times but not yet waxed or polished.

I'm looking for a kit that comes with wash, wax, clay, polishes, polisher and other sprays and such to maintain the entire car. What do you guys use, recommend or have opinions on. Willing to spend up to $500 or so for a nice kit that can do about everything (hopefully that is enough cash). Also need something to help maintain the factory stripes as i have heard wax isn't good for them.

Need something easy for a novice to to that won't wreck my paint either with a polisher.

Adams PC detail kit. Its $319 and well worth it. It is the best basic strayer kit for any new detailer. Also comes with full instructional DVD and a 110% money back guarantee. Cant beat that.

Congratulations on purchasing your new Camaro, you have come to the right place.

IMO, you have two very good options that have been "discussed" on this site in multiple threads.. Adam's and Zaino products are the two "leading contenders" of non over the counter car products.

Both have products for every aspect of your car starting with claybar, wash, wax, polishes, window treatment, leather, wheel products and more! Both have products you can use on your stripes as well.

See other thread here and/or watch the many videos available. I namely use Zaino which is easy to apply (with both products, less is more). I also use some Adam's products as well (they have a 10% off daily discount thread here as well).

Good luck. Lori

Are there any decent cheaper options over the PC?? I dont see myself using the thing enough to really spend that much on something ill use like once or twice a year.

I've got the Mothers kit and am very happy with it. All the brushes work well and the reflections was is easy to apply and buff and it lasts.

The PC itself isn't all that expensive for a quality tool.

We value it at roughly $120-$130 in our kits... the cheapest you'll find it new is about $110.

The only things cheaper than that are going to be the 10" bonnet style low speed 'buffers' you can get at Sears which aren't worth the box they're packaged in since they won't allow you to really polish or correct a finish.

You'll spend more on the chemicals and the pads than you will the machine itself in all honesty.

I would go with the Adam's products. I went to the detail clinic in Atl last month and witnessed the products first hand. I have spent over $500 on products and that is just to get started. You get what you pay for most of the time. Invest in quality products. It is money well spent.
