Breaking-In a USED 2011 Camaro 2LT

Hello ALL,

I recently bought a USED (14k miles on it) 2011 Camaro 2LT. Any advice in terms of breaking it in or any useful info is greatly appreciated... It was a rental from Hertz and was used for 5 months and then was auctioned. I have no idea how it was driven by the first owner. Moreover, I bought the GMPP (major guard) extended warranty for 5 yrs/50k miles. Nonetheless, I LOVE my new Camaro; I name it "The Velociraptor". Thanks ALL!!!

Well according to the users manual the breaking in period is only the first 1,500 miles or so I believe. I don't have the manual right in front of me at the moment. If I remember right your car should already be broken in, so have fun.

your car was broken in about 12,000 miles ago.hope you got a really good deal on it.think i would have an oil change done if you haven't already done so.

It was a rental for 5 months. 2011 2LT has HUD, leather, black, etc. In terms of renting or buying, it still depends on the person driving the car. I inspected it thoroughly and it was perfectly fine whenI bought it. But in the long run, whether you buy it new or not, it still depends on the driver, the workers who made the car, the parts available for that car, and your luck on the road. My other car, which I bought in 1998, people still think that it's only 5 years old or so...

Actually my original plan was to buy a BMW 5 series...then considered Lexus IS...but ended up with "The Velociraptor". I'm still young and thats why the 5 series could wait...Thanks for ALL the input.

I would have broken your car in real good. Haha A rental? How much did you pay, if you don't mind me asking?
