im about to pull the trigger and order the grill however i just noticed that it just lays over your existing grill. is this true or can you remove the factory grill? looks kinda silly with the factory grill behind it. also the pictures on Carid.com dont really help much
if your have the black phantom grill please post your pics so i can decide!!!
also, any suggestions on grills would be great (cant go wrong with a painted to match heritage i know i know lol) i have an IOM and im trying to black it out as much as possible

I do not like the overlay look either. here is what mine looks like. It is not a full phantom but has the same design. It is a full replacement. The SS emblems I added so there is not marking on this one. I got it from http://www.billet-grilles.com/camaro..._133_1724.html they have some pretty good prices. I paid $410 to my door for upper and lower replacement billet grille.

It really doesn't impact the headlights, believe it or not.

I am looking for the same thing. I have seen a full phantom at tnight with the lights on and it doesnt effect the light output or visability. Thanks for the link Cowboy!

Do you have to take the whole front bumber off to install that?

yes. It is a completely replacement upper and lower grille. Just a personal note from someone with experience. Get some jack stands and remove the front tires and fender liner cumpletely. It will make the Job SOOOOOOO much easier

One more thing. The grille is rounded at the front. It is hard to see in the pics but this is the best one I have at an angle. This grille will take the pointines away from the front. The heritage grille makes the pointiness more predominant.
