Cover A%$ Financing and Rebates and Discounts
OK
I have been thinking guys.. If GM (or dealers) are not accepting employee pricing, supplier pricing, college grad pricing...etc, you could become a member of a credit union who offers GM supplier discounts as a member. Read on.. Why commit to signing for a firm price? The deposit is (supposedly) non-refundable right? Why not write the language of YOUR contract to read "If GM employee, supplier or other applicable pricing becomes available prior to delivery, buyer reserves the right to utilize pricing established for purchase of vehicle if so qualified". A purchase agreement can contain YOUR language, NOT NECESSARILY the dealers! You can also establish "If any incentive, rebate or other special promotion, relative to this vehicle becomes available prior to delivery, buyer reserves the right to said incentives". I say, for a measly deposit, become a member of a Credit Union that will give you GM supplier pricing. I priced out a $37k truck and the difference was $3600 for being a member. Food for thought for those who are on the fence...YOU can make YOUR terms and language in the contract as well. This is your car and your right to make deals as well....not just the dealer. When I order my car, I had them write it up as "$500 under MSRP less all applicable GM incentives". That way if and that’s a big IF, there are any incentives I will get them. I am not eligible for any other discounts, so they were of no concern.
Most dealers should be willing to add this wording, as it does not affect their profit (GM returns the incentive money back to the dealer). |

I'm not sure what your saying. I have access to supplier discount from two places. Work, and my credit union. It doesn't matter where the discount comes from, they all work the same way. If the dealer won't accept it from one place, they won't take it from another. Besided, your talking about getting it in writing prior to delivery onn the contract. Chances are, if your writing the contract, your at the dealer to drive away wiht your car. So unless you got it in writing befor this, your probably out of luck, like me.
Unless I'm reading your post the wrong way. |

Usually, most credit unions have GM supplier pricing. What is your credit union? If yours does not participate, find one that does. I opened an account with Credit Union One here in Michigan and the GM info is within the auto financing portion of the website.

My credit union doesn't say anything about Supplier Pricing but they do say I automatically get 4.5% off MSRP. Not sure if thats the same thing or not.
Update.....just confirmed my credit union discount is Supplier pricing. You can check to see if your CU is eligible here https://www.exclusivegmoffer.com/ip-...do?program=cud
