Need help with Injen intake decisions

Hey guys i was wondering what are the differences and benefits of a Short Ram Power Flow Intake System from Injen and Cold Air Power Flow Intake System? I am mainly looking for better sound first, and then better performance....PLEASE HELP! THANKS SO MUCH

Supposedly, the long tube is going to give you a bit more HP/TQ, but the install is also more involved (and you have to replace your washer bottle). Check out this link to SCRMING's thread. Seems like a pretty big PITA to me...

I have the short ram version, and I haven't had any trouble so far. It will definitely give you a better sound, and probably a bit more pep. Also, it looks like the Vararam might finally come out for the V6. You might wanna check that out too. If it's actually released, and proves to be a good system, it looks like it could give some nice gains

I have the Injen SRI with a MRT v2 set up. I haven't seen any change in my exhaust note, but I do have a slight whistle, even though it is deep. But, the performance change is there, definitely more pull.

Interseting. So adding the short ram instake did not make your MRT exhaust louder?

My most popular video on my channel. I think you can see why

-EDIT- I also have to add, when I showed my girlfriend this video, she thought I turned up the volume on the Injen one LOL. So yeah, it is much louder, deeper. And changes your stock exhaust note.

Actually the instructions were the best I have seen for any mod install. Time was less than 90 minutes. Yes, you get another bottle. All easy to do with basic tools.

Very nice. I personally like these two since you can hear the INJEN and MRT 2.0 combo together.

Yeah but notice all those people eating popcorn. Still waiting and have been for a very long time for this one to come out and be tested.

Maybe I'm just used to it, but when I picked up my car with the SRI installed, I noticed the power increase and the wind like sound the SRI makes. So, with my system it is not much different. I now have my resonatos deleted too, and that has made a great difference.

I'm not holding my breath, but I'm optimistic. The basic principal behind this thing makes sense.

Looks like it works form the other thread today.I have similar on my ls1. 8-10 hp with a cleaned up airlid and k/n filter and the ram air duct in front of the radiator to the bottom of the box good for 10-15 more at the end of the 1/4.

This one for the v6 looks to use the same basic setup

Any problems with the one you have on the LS1? CELs or anything like that?

No. It is a big stainless steel duct that extends to the airdam. Doesnt suck up water either. The kit came with a seal to close of the front of the air box where it normally breathes from, its all cold air/ram air as the box is sealed and pressurized a bit.

If,you want sound and performance then go with the Injen long tube. Its been proven that it delivers the most HP and torque of all the V6 CAI by Jannetty Racing.
