JBA HIGH FLOW CATS PART#1812SYC DON'T FIT MY L99
Hi guys ,
I purchase the Jba mid pipes with high flow cats for my 2010 Camaro l99 & I am having some major probs. The driver side pipe does not fit , its way off ! I am able to bolt it on with out the o2 censor but It's impossible to connect the censore here's why . 1.there's no room because the tranny is blocking it . 2.even if you try to force the pipe to align right so that It's pressing against the tranny the o2 censor will not screw In the mid pipe I check the mid pipes and there in perfect condition there's nothing wrong with them . I compare both pipes and they are a complete set one left and One right . So I'm asking for help guys , has anybody installed these on a l99 ? Is there any special instructions to get this done ? Maybe I just got a bad set ? Maybe there's a different part number for the l99 ? Because I seen a pic on one of the forms with the Install completed and it looks like the tranny is different From mine ! Last edited by iom; 02-17-2011 at 11:09 PM. Reason: Typo |

I didn't have any issue with the installation. Could be a dumb suggestion but did you try to switch the pipes from left to the right to see they fit? You might be putting the left pipe to the wrong right side of the header.
Take some pictures so the experts here can give you more suggestions.

Put the o2 sensors in them before you try to bolt them up.

Install the sensor first for sure, but also, you may be able to loosen other things to get it to work.
My Solo high flow cats driver side also was difficult to get fit correctly but the passenger side was fine.

JBA catted midpipes
You need to install the O2 sensors first. Then loosely bolt the manifold bolts while you get everything lined up. It is a tight fit but I had reasonable clearance once everything was tightened up.
My car is an LS3 though so the L99 might be slightly different. You will like the sound once they are on |

I have them on my L99 but I also have the LT headers. I had to loosen everything, remove the brace, and spin/rotate the high flow cat so the o2 cleared the trans. Call JBA if you have any trouble. They have very good customer service.
