DC Auto Show Pics - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Nothing new. The Silver SS is gorgeous but the stock wheels, IMHO, suck. They're too milky. The RS IBM is also gorgeous and I am considering a switch from SIM to IBM. The midnight silver wheels were "OK" but I'm glad I dropped them for the polished wheels on my 2SS/RS SIM.

The cars were roped off so I could not sit in them. Scott Treadwell (the GM rep) said the interiors were not production.

I've always said that there are no other American cars I want (within my price range) but I really like the G8 GXP.

First the silver ice had gray seats, Dark blue had the beige seats, and you couldnt get within 3 feet of either car but over, they were roped off like in philly, expect philly had a car to sit in.

The mustang display here was HUGE they had all of their engines out to look at along with dashboard pieces and while the guys that were talking were annoying it had the largest number of people at it.

that said on to ambient lighting....
so i was talking to the girls at the camaro display at DC and was playing dumb about ambient lighting and specifically ask what it is, what it does, etc etc. So they went on about how lights up and is a very nice blue glow and then pointed out to me how it goes along the doors AND AROUND THE DASH. Then they went on to say it looks really good lit up, and I ask them if they had seen it specifically around the dash and both of them said they had and it looked great. They couldnt even open the doors so they couldnt show it to me but take it for what its worth

Agreed, the SIM is an awesome color, but the lighting at this show was wayyyyy too bright for this car to really show what's it about. This is the second set of pics I've looked at that seem to make the SIM look white. I still like it though. And thanks for posting all of these pics.

Appreciate the input guys thanks! Was thinking about going to the DC show, but it really doesn't seem worth it. What kinda way is that to show off a car in the nation's capitol....can't touch it, can't sit in it, can't even get close?!?!

Also thanks for talking about the show a little did not get a chance to go, I would have been a little

that I could not sit are see inside of it. It's all good we will be able to see it in person and inside, sit in and drive at the dealerships soon

If you haven't slready seen the car in person any trip to even do that is worth it. This car is a Rembrandt on wheels in real life.

honestly lighting was pretty good today. It REALLY brought out CGM on both the traverse and ZR1 (honestly it blew me away on both cars and I have seen it many times) as well as brought out the orange in victory red (yes there is some). In camera pictures it looks to bright but i thought it really showed off all of the colors to their fullest.

I was hoping to see if the IBM was a 2LT/RS. I would guess that it was and if that is the case I would also guess that it was the same car that was at the Virginia Beach Auto Show. They had that car open on Friday and Saturday, but shut the doors on Sunday because "the interior is not a production interior". See pictures from that show below.

Thanks. I thought the same thing myself even though I did take a few more pics. I was having a problem with glare from the flash and the pics weren't worth posting. Kind of an injustice to the beauty of the color in my opinion.
