2010 Camaro Painted 20 inch rims how to polish

Hi, was just wondering if anyone ever stripped down there oem painted midnight silver rims and polished them. I couldnt get polished rims because this is what the car already had on them.

Just wondering if there is a step by step process to strip and polish to a mirror shine..

Cant afford the chrome ones out there so I figure i would put in alittle elbow grease and try it out..

thanx

This may not be the answer to your question, but if you could find someone who wants to powdercoat their polished wheels, ask them if they'd trade. They could powdercoat your MS wheels and you'd have polished rims. Just a thought.

Thats a lot of elbow grease. I don't think you want bare metal on your rims without some kind of clear coat on it. Leave them as is.

I stripped the clear off my polished wheels to polish further. I did them by hand and did come out better thank stock, but really wanted to have them fully polished at a shop. Never did and just ordered new wheels.
I am going to hold on to my stock ones, but you may find someone that wants to trade. The polished was a $470 option.
