Flowmaster american thunder decibel level for ss

Local cops saying my flowmaster american thunder is too loud what ? Its a 6.2 liter what do think it should sound like? Does anybody know the design DB level for this exhaust? My local law limit is 95db at 50 feet. Thx

Your car is NOT 95dbs at 50ft.... I have 1 chambers on my car and its still not 95dbs! Dont touch your car for some jerk off cop giving you bull crap What a hater...if you want a comparo, stand next to a big block chevelle with 600hp and full 3" that MIGHT be 95dbs standing next to it!

Well only way he can catch you is if he has a decibel reader on him. Him saying "yea it was too loud" wont hold up in court. He needs to physically measure it at 50 feet. To be sure I'd make him measure it a few times just so the distance is right.

Nothing you did wrong...

It is just that these posts generally end up as a cop bashing outlet and it tends to piss off the good cops on here when the person wasn't actually given a ticket...(at least that is the way I read it)

I don't know about Cali, but there are other violations that can be issued for loud exhaust. Here, it is anything audible over 100 feet...you gotta pay to play sometimes, but again I know Cali is different. However, you guys always seem to be a little more restrictive with your traffic laws...I am not saying cops WILL issue for it, but they can here.

I expect that there will be a day I catch a cop who doesn't agree with me having long tubes, but we will see...worth it to me honestly. However, I am not going to take it out on the cop if he decides to stop me, tell me or cite me for the violation....I accept the fact that LT may not be the most attractive thing to my neighbors, but again...I will pay to play.

I have the borla now, getting ready to install kooks...I have been considering replacing the the S types for flowmaster because they seem to have a more old school sound, but I love the Borla S type tone. They seem to both be about the same volume...I cannot imagine anyone really giving you issues unless you are running WOT all the time haha
