Reviews of interior?
the reviews of interior/interior space are bad from what i have seen. but i would like to hear from actual drivers of the car to see how they feel it is. How is the interior? are the dashboard/ other equipment made well and sturdy? does it feel cheap? is there very little space in the back? is it actualy as small as everyone says it is in the back and there is sometimes not even any head space and leg space?
please provide your opinions on the interior of the camaro. i am getting the 1LT since i cant afford any higher so i wont heave leather and stuff. |

The biggest thing I don't get about the reviews is the steering wheel. Most complaints about the steering wheel are that its too big and hard to grip. I actually like how it feels and its easy to 10 and 2. I find the seats very comfortable as they naturally recline, as most pony cars tend to do. As someone who is 6'1 this is how I prefer my seating position. All and all I'm very comfortable inside my Camaro, much more so than any car I've owned before.
As for the rest of the interior I kind of find the trim kind of bland but not cheap. I had a Mustand previously and Ford pulled off the modern/retro look a lot better than the Chevy did. Don't get me wrong I like the trim better than the Challenger but in my opinion Chevy stuck to closely try to replicate the look of the first generation Camaro. I got black on black in my car, but now I'm thinking inferno orange accents or maybe cyber grey if I get a hockey stick stripe package might be what the doctor ordered. Now for functionality. I find the dash speedometer a little difficult to read because of the retro style numbers. I find myself using the digital speedometer which, is very well placed at twelve'o'clock under the steering wheel. The buttons and switches are very easy to use and I don't really see the point of why anyone would want the center console gauges unless for visual effect. The the side mirrors and are very well placed. The placement of the mirrors really helps to minimize the effects the exterior has on looking out the rear of the car. If anything I have a much more difficult time gauging where the side of the car and front of my hood are, but again that mostly has to do with the exterior styling.

My wife can ride in the back and She is 5'3. We have issues with the car, but most of them is getting into it and out of it (we're in our 50's).

The camaro has never been known for having a luxurious back seat, as for the rest of the interior I would suggest checking it out for yourself and see what you think. I love it as much as the rest of the car (that's why I bought it), and really there is nothing that I can honestly say that I dislike about it. For the record both my wife and daughter have rode in the back and neither had a problem with having enough space.
Good luck with your new 1lt, or whatever you wind up buying. |

You drive a Jeep. It's going to be a lot smaller than that, so that will certainly require some adaptation. Keep in mind that the Camaro is similar in terms of space to a lot of sporty coupes. It isn't designed with the same intentions as an Impala. It is designed for performance and style, and those attractive, aerodynamic proportions make building a massive, luxurious interior impossible. Reviews that even touch on interior space tend to miss the whole point of getting into a Camaro. If you wrote a review on a Malibu, you might not be the same guy they should have writing reviews for a Camaro in my opinion.

If you're driving...you won't have any problems with the interior. Even if you're the passenger...the interior will be fine.
Now the back seat...just like previous generations...there is very limited space in the back. I have had people in the back of mine and they don't complain, but I know they are cramped! Just make sure you're driving the car and you'll be fine with the space.

I love the interior.. Im 6'2 and have plenty of head clearance. The seats are high backed and give me full support and buckets offer the comfort. The back seat has plenty of space if you make it work
but its probably only there for insurance purposes. Only car ive ever felt truely comfortable sitting upright and rockin the 10-2 driving position, no other car ive sat in seems to have been built with consideration of people larger than the avg 5'8 150lb or w/e the national average WAS. Posture has become pretty important to me as I sit at a desk all day long and I struggle enough with that but when I sit in my car it is like a big baseball glove.. or somthing softer and warmer with them heated seats on!Thelook of the radio is the only thing im not that crazy of tbh but w/e I didnt buy it for that I bought it b/c its a B.A.A.M.C!!! |

I personally like the steering wheel and have had no discomfort in accessing the controls mounted on it. I am not fan of the new steering wheel which will come in the ZL1 because that is the same steering wheel that is used in Buicks and all the other Chevy models.
The interior is no Audi/VW, and is pretty plain, but the LED lights give it cool look at night! |

What back seat? Yea it's pretty small back there, but it is a coupe and anyone looking to get a coupe isn't looking for huge space in the back. If you are then maybe a sedan is what you really need.
Head space isn't an issue either. Visibility is lower, but you can see what you need to see, mostly. My first few months of owning mine, I admit i was a little paranoid while driving until I got used to it. I'm even parking 2 inches from the curb now, instead of two feet lol. The interior isn't bad and I love the clean retro look, it doesnt feel small inside at all to me. Wish I had a real nav but that's another story. The camaro isn't perfect, but the positives far out weight the negatives and you will not regret your purchase.

Nothing wrong with the interior at all. The seats are real comfortable. The dials are nononsense without all the unneccesary shiny bling like a lot of interiors today. bling...what is it good for? Absolutely nothing!

What fits me most about the interior are the seats, the Steering Wheel, the leather wrapped shifter and the clutch pedal. Wants I adjust my seat I feel at one with the machine.

Some of these guys are 6ft+ and dont have problems and im 5ft 2 and dont have a problem driving my M6 lol. Most of the materials are not fancy but they do serve the job well. The cruise control is by far the easiest and best CC ive ever used. The speedo is pretty useless though as because its so small and goes up to 160 it isnt very easy to be accurate.
The trunk is very large especially consider what there was in the 4th gen (just a hatch basically). Seats hold you in fairly well but if your thinner you could slide a little bit when the g's go up. Steering wheel feels pretty good and i like the design. The radio dials would have been better if they were raised. When driving its hard to tell what preset im on or where the skip button it. Not sure what could be done but, the cup holders are very poorly placed for the M6 making anything bigger than a coke can interfere with shifting but really should have open liquids in the car anyways lol. |
