GM Pre-Painted Heritage Grills Available

You can now order the GM Camaro heritage grill pre-painted in a few colors. I ordered a blue last week from my dealer and will have it install on Friday. I'm guessing because of some of the special edition models coming out. Here's some info:

Do they paint the entire grille or do they leave the middle part black?

I would want the middle part to remain black.

All they need to do is paint the GFX and we'd be set.

The middle part remains dark gray. It looks just like the 2011 Indy Pace Car heritage grill.

I just ordered a blue one from allen at tonkins chevrolet and it was $322.33 shipped to my door in new york from oregon. It was in stock and went out the same day and he e-mailed me a tracking number that night. My local dealer even with my discount for working in a dealer wanted $324.00 and needed a week to get it.

I like the stock grill too but when you have to install front license plates the front grill/bumper center area looks too busy imo. With the heritage grill front plates don't look as bad imo.

I just found this out last week searching the Chevy websites. I ordered my 2LT in September and took delivery in November. I had dealer ordered the GM Performance Air intake ($525) that never was produced. My dealer agreed to get this grill and install for the same price. I always liked this grill but didn't like the idea of having to have it painted locally.

So for once, an ordering problem worked in my favor.

What all comes with the Heritage Grill? Surely not the whole front facia. Is it something you could install yourself? What's the insallation cost?

Nope, that's my factory bumper cover off the car for the heritage grill install. The grill covers between the headlights and you get a bowtie w/bracket. I took mine off. You gotta use your own SS or RS emblem if they apply.
