Replaced Front and Rear Bowties with Retro White SS Emblems - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

We just have never been great fans of the bowties so I replaced them with the retro style white SS emblems. I then removed both front and rear red SS emblems. I installed the rear one on the dash in front of the steering wheel, will probably move it over to the right side of the dash later on. I will also install a LS 3 emblem from West Coast Corvettes where the rear SS emblem was next week when it arrives. The LS is black with a chrome outline and the 3 is in red with a chrome outline. Here are a few pics, and already I know it is not for everyone but having several Camaros back in the muscle car days this was just natural for us.

I am planning on doing the exact same to mine. Old school SS in front and back with LS3 emblem where red SS was. It looks like on your grill SS, it doesn't sit very flush and the seams are raised and very visable. Is it just the angle of the picture or it is very noticable?

Also, I checked out Westcoast Corvette and only found 1 LS3 emblem that didnt' have incorrect HP numbers....this one:

Have you seen the one from emblempros? The lettering is customizable, however, so it would say "Camaro" or "426 HP" instead of Corvette.

Very nice...Got my emblems haven't installed them yet...
As for the white lettering i got them silver...Like the retro
look of the old SS letters...

I did the same thing to my SS. Much cleaner looking and it compliments the 5th gen's retro style. I chose not to use the black background on the rear emblem though. You can't really see it in the picture below. It's alot more noticeable in person.

how did you all take off the red SS emblems? is it just an adhesive? been wanting to take off mine so i can put on this mod as well... also have a dealer decal or something on the left i want to get rid of...was told to wait till it gets hot and peal it right off... that correct?
